Per-IP reports and single-field pivots (one port:, country:, asn:, cve:, proto:, or fingerprint) are open to everyone, no account. Heavier queries (boolean logic, negation, several fields at once, or text search) scan far more data. Asking for a free account on those keeps bots and scrapers off the expensive path, so the service stays fast for researchers doing real work.

Genuinely free, no upsell: a magic-link email (no password), a daily query budget, your query history, and an API key so you can run the exact same queries over MCP or HTTP. The telemetry is open; this just keeps the shared service healthy.
